emo mode: on

               On days like today, i eat 200% more than the usual, i feel sad for only God knows what reasons, i become nostalgic and i suddenly begin to miss everybody especially my brother.

               I know it’s annoying when people suddenly become emo and i for one hates emo kids. But you can’t mess with emo people. Especially emo girls with raging hormones. Oh no no no no! So hold that thought mister and don’t complain. Just nod people, nod!

                This whole thing started last sunday, when Donna left for Dumaguete. I spent most of my summer days with her and I’m gonna miss her. Ahuhuhu. And Phoebeth will be leaving soon, and Louise is not here, Jai2’s not here (I miss you so much buddy! Wa na mi masugo, wa na’y kauban sa impromptu laags, wa na’y muhatod-hatod namo ug wa na’y pang paon sa mga bayot. hehe!), Kenny’s not here anymore (no more frisbee and no more of those bone-breaking eskrima techniques), Valerie is busy studying and G.I., well, uhmmmm…hmmmm…tick tock tick tock…zzzzzzzz….he has no sense of adventure! Good thing Nikki’s still here and she’s game for anything! Tatlong bagsak, dalawang sipa at isang talon para kay Nikki!!! AHOO AHOO!!

                    Anyway, a few days ago, Nikki and I were talking about how our lives are changing and after this summer everybody will be busy living their dreams (American dreams for the nurses to be exact),  establishing their careers, some may be even starting or have already started their own families (CAUTION: DO NOT HURRY!! MAHAL ANG BUGAS, GATAS, DIAPER, TUITION, ANNULMENT - joke!), blah blah blah…and suddenly we became emo about these things…like we were infected by Peter Pan. Not that we’re afraid of growing up and growing old, we’ll just miss everybody and the good ‘ol times. Like how I miss college and my college buddies. huhuhu. I miss Zinsser, too. =)

                I can’t believe I’ll be working soon…or later, haha! Where to go? What to do? Stay or leave? It’s confusing. But that’s the beauty of this kind of life - endless possibilities, full of choices and full of adventures. Undefined, unpredictable, unrestricted. Christian Pacaldo’s wise words: "Life is too short to think of what WILL or MAY happen and often times its beyond our control. So why bother right?" Chrissy, may tama ka!!

                    So here I am, setting sight and preparing to set sail for the impossible and the unexplored. Do I fear? Hell, yeah! But you gotta face your fears and fight them because fear cripples the soul. Life must go on, right? U-huh, u-huh! The world spins madly on. I cannot allow myself to be left behind.

                    As the song goes, "So long sweet summer. I stumbled upon you and gratefully basked in your rays." I hope everybody had fun as much as I did. Now let’s say hello to rainy days, typhoons and climate change brought about by global warming! =p
